Vital Records at The RCGS Library

This is a list of unique Vital Records: Birth, Marriage and Death (BMD) records - not yet digitized for the website, but available for review at the RCGS Library and Research Center located in the Milton House Museum.

The List:

• Rock County Early Birth Index to 1905 [2 vol.] From Register of Deeds records
• Index to Rock County Deaths 1873-1913 – From the Register of Deeds records
• Index to Rock County, Wisconsin Marriages 1841-1907 by WSHS – This is an index to the microfilms held at the Wisconsin Historical Society. It contains most to all of the info on the actual record.
• Rock County, Wisconsin Marriage License Application Index – compiled using records originally from the Rock County Clerk’s Office – hard copies of applications are held at RCHS Archives
• Deaths Rock County Courthouse 1992-1999 – Printouts from the Register of Deeds office. Includes date of death and certificate #.
• Deaths Rock County Courthouse 1999-Feb 2001 – Printouts from the Register of Deeds office. Includes date of death and certificate #.
• Marriages – Bride Index – 1992- 31 Jan 1999 - Printouts from the Register of Deeds office. Includes file date, marriage date, certificate #, groom's name
• Marriages – Groom Index – 1992- 1999 - Printouts from the Register of Deeds office. Includes file date, marriage date, certificate #, bride's name.
• Marriage Index – Bride & Groom – 1999 – 31 Jan 2001 - Printouts from the Register of Deeds office. Includes file date, marriage date, certificate #, spouse's name.
