- The RCGS Research Center at the Milton House Museum is home to unique Family History found nowhere else – not at any online subscription services. Visit us or request help from afar. We treat your Research Requests with priority, too.
- Our Quarterly Society Newsletter, including a calendar of area programs and events, historical surname indexes, a chance to post free research queries, information on upcoming RCGS programs and detailed summaries of recent talks (in case you couldn’t join us).
- Submit Family Research Questions for Publication in the Society Newsletter by clicking on our Newsletter Query Contact Form.
- Waiver of the Archives Admission Fee saves $10 when visiting the Milton House Museum Archives & RCGS Library's Reading Room and Research Center in person.
- "Genealogy Jump-Start" Bibliography provides a free annual search for a single ancestor or surname from our card file, select books, as well as key publications and indexes. This produces a solid listing of holdings that may contain your ancestor to assist you during a research visit or, at reduced member rates, to commission further expert research. Lifetime members enjoy even more. It's free top all RCGS members, so why not try a "Genealogy Jump-Start."
- 10% - 50% Discounts on RCGS Publications for over 50 surname indexes from atlases, newspapers, cemeteries, historical books, obituaries, photographs, diaries, bibles, and other family records. Check-out our RCGS publications and Indexes,
- Savings on Research and Copy Fees at the RCGS Library's Reading Room and Research Center, whether in person or from a distance. Archive research services and fees vary depending on membership status, copy volume, complexity of research and time required to fulfill the request.
- Free Limited Look-up Services by volunteer owners of Rock County genealogical reference books (not RCGS publications). This service provides brief look-ups with transcriptions or scanned images. Try our Members-Only Look-up Service.
- Free Programs and Speakers Events by Zoom or live - in at the Milton House Museum, 18 S. Janesville Street, in Milton, WI. Programs are promoted and summarized in the RCGS newsletter. If you can't join us, don't despair, because an increasing number of programs are "Live Webinars" view-able from your home PC, and most Events & Speakers' programs are summarized in print within the quarterly Society Newsletters.
- Free Attendance at Local Field Trips and access to periodic research trips to other archives. Bus, admission fees or other charges may apply when traveling to more remote destinations.
