About David Bradford, Webinar Presenter
David Bradford is a UW grad with degrees in medicine and business who speaks regionally to history and genealogy groups about technology and medical topics. He has been a member of the Rock County Genealogical Society and the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center for more than 25 years and has served board chairperson and secretary of the RCGS. He is currently the long term webmaster for the Society. In addition, he and Janet Bradford have indexed multiple atlases, plat maps and out-of-print historical books. He was recognized by the Wisconsin Genealogy Society in 2012 with the Virginia V. Irvin genealogy award.

Dave provides a comprehensive introduction to researching one's ancestors that also serves as a good starting pointy for online research - including the importance of a systematic approach to research, use of paper forms, PC programs and cloud-based family trees, tips for evaluating sources, facts and evidence, a review of a dozen common record types, their online (and attic) locations, uses and limitations, evaluating the reliability of online trees, finding kindred kin who share your research interests and a score of fun, free and amazing genealogical websites.
